There are basically 3 ways to strengthen a muscle
1. lifting weights and overload a muscle. This has been proven. DeLorme and researcher have proven
this.
2. artificial use of hormones (steroids) to increase strength. Obviously this works because banned
substances are used repeatedly to enhance athletic performance.
3. Restore optimal length to a muscle and create conditions that the muscle can contract with minimal
force to get maximal effect. Ah ha. Florence Kendall was a PT who originally developed the muscle
testing rating scale. Florence mentioned in her muscle testing book that muscle length can effect muscle
strength. This was skimmed over in PT school because the dominance of thinking of needing overloading
the muscle. Actually this work will strengthen your muscle by restoring muscle length. Movement with
attention will restore muscle length.
