Introducing the Feldenkrais Method®. The Feldenkrais Method ® is the most revolutionary method ever to
affect people worldwide. People who experience this work often find themselves easily doing things they

The Feldenkrais Method ® is very easy to learn. No special skills are required. The simple use of your

How this method was developed…influenced by science, physics, judo, and infant-like
movement.

Dr. Feldenkrais was motivated to improve the use of his severely injured knee. His past experiences and
background influenced his method. Dr. Feldenkrais worked many years as a physicist…along with Nobel
Prize laureate Frederic Joliot-Curie in Paris. He also studied and mastered judo. His wife was a
pediatrician, giving him insight to study infant movements. He then spent the rest of his life working with his
method…his own “Nobel Prize worthy” type of work.

Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais had a deep understanding of how the brain and body interact, especially how the
brain organizes movement. Also, Dr. Feldenkrais developed many theories of how the brain and body
worked…many of the theories being proven today. One theory is that we use only use 8% of our brain
capacity to move. That means 92 % of our brain is unused for movement.

Dr. Feldenkrais considered his method a learning approach…not a medical approach. Each session is
called a lesson. The lessons are little laboratory experiments. He used his background as a physicist, judo
master, and scientist to develop over 1,000 lessons. The lessons for private session or group session take
on a similar theme of simple, easy, movements.

Dr. Feldenkrais also theorized that movement develops the full capacity of your brain throughout life- what
you are fully capable of. He believed his method develops your self- image, mental clarity, and your
creative sense. Dr. Feldenkrais’ discovery on how the brain works may be as profound as Einstein or
Darwin’s discoveries…and relatively unknown to most people.
